Carigiet Cowen Clients Secure STACK Carlisle Planning Permission Following Approval by Cumberland Council

Following this week’s news, the new multi-million pound leisure venue will see the creation of an entertainment focussed container village, made up of around 50 shipping containers with a retractable glass roof which will feature a number of bars, food outlets, a central plaza with a balcony and a stage area for live music.

Director of Carigiet Cowen, Ben Blain, commented; “The impact of Covid-19 on the retail market together with the general change in shopping habits has inevitably led to the increased number of voids in and around Carlisle.

The approval of this planning application will improve the vitality and viability of Carlisle bringing a new entertainment venue to our city, which can only be good news for local residents, tourists and businesses.’

The new attraction when built, will be located on the former Lowther Street Car Park, adjacent to the former Iceland unit which is currently available To Let with Carigiet Cowen. In light of the recent news for STACK, parties in the retail, food and drink, leisure sectors are encouraged to consider this building given it’s proximity to the proposed new development.
