Carigiet Cowen are delighted to announce that the sale of Country Confectionery positioned on Lake Road in Bowness on Windermere has completed. The confectionery business which has been trading from Lake Road for approximately 20 years has been sold by retail surveyor Ben Blain.
Ben commented: “It is always exciting taking any kind of commercial property to the market which is set within The Lake District and the World Heritage Site and we knew that enquiries for this ‘one off’ type of business in this popular location would be forthcoming. We received enquiries from people trading within the town of Bowness, having other similar businesses in the region and people who were looking to relocate from the southern areas of England and wanted to reside in The Lake District”.

Carigiet Cowen acted for the business owner and landlord and secured a sale of the business and letting to the new owners. The business will continue to trade as a confectionery shop, but we understand will be undergoing a full refurbishment shortly.
With limited retail opportunities around the popular Lake District Town’s currently available, Ben is excited to be bringing another unit to the market shortly which is likely to be popular for a variety of uses and unlikely to be available for long.
